Provider Credentialing

The Credentialing Process

Provider credentialing is the first step in revenue cycle development. You cannot file claims until the insurance carrier approves the provider, so anesthesiologists and CRNAs must complete the credentialing correctly and promptly to ensure consistent cash flow.

Finding the process difficult and time-consuming? We deliver fast and accurate results.

Medical Business Management's dedicated credentialing specialists utilize medical credentialing software to expedite provider credentialing for anesthesiologists and CRNAs accurately and efficiently.
We simplify the anesthesia provider credentialing process by:
Completing electronic or paper applications (group and individual)
Completing electronic applications (CAQH updated every three months)
Maintaining an electronic provider database
Tracking applications until completion
Re-credentialing as required

Submitting Anesthesia Provider Credentialing Applications

We assemble and submit electronic medical provider applications to ensure the correct information gets to the right place. During this process, we secure the following:
NPI numbers (group and individual)
Provider Numbers (PTANs)
Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)
Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)
Request / complete contracts
Name Changes
Additional locations
Re-credentialing
Participating membership with HMOs/PPOs
Establish and maintain the CAQH
Contract negotiations
After collecting each provider's required professional and personal information, we enter the data electronically with pertinent supporting documents, including licenses, DEA certifications, curricula vita, professional training certifications, CEU certificates, and other required documents.

We keep an application history to populate future applications as needed. When the application is signed and submitted, we track the progress to verify the status and keep you informed throughout the process.

We always maintain an updated electronic provider data file so we can efficiently respond to any anesthesia provider credentialing requests.

Establishing and Maintaining the CAQH

The CAQH (Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare) database stores provider information online. Providers can share access to this information with insurance providers to promote more efficient provider enrollment with health plans. Data in the CAQH includes the provider’s demographics, education, training, work history, malpractice history, and other information.

This information needs to be confirmed or updated every three months. Our credentialing specialists help providers obtain their CAQH ID and complete their online CAQH profile. We also perform CAQH updates quarterly to ensure that the provider information is up-to-date to protect your revenue cycle.

We designed our anesthesia provider credentialing services to support your revenue cycle development and quality patient care.
